Civitanova Marche is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Macerata in the Italian region Marche, located about 40 km southeast of Ancona and about 25 km east of Macerata. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 39,545 and an area of 45.8 km2.[1]

The municipality of Civitanova Marche contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Civitanova Alta, Fontespina, Santa Maria Apparente, Risorgimento, San Marone, and Maranello.

Civitanova Marche borders the following municipalities: Montecosaro, Porto Sant'Elpidio, Potenza Picena, Sant'Elpidio a Mare.
